Money

This section isn’t the standard money definition as you will find on the basic page.
This is a direct relation to how money fits into the hall. Howit is made, and quite often how it is spent.

1. Visitors are not required to pay for serves. It is the halls honor and hospitality to see to a Visitors comfort. The highest that might be required for a horn of mead or a tankard of ale is perhaps stories of the south, adventures, or just a good story of any sort. Slaves are not to be given coin for serving.

2. Free visitors are not required to pay for staying the night, or extended amounts of time within the hall. If it’s longer than a week. You might be called on to help out with some of the duties.

3. Money is commonly earned in Torvaldsmark by the sales of ice. It is exported to the surrounding regions and is the livelihood of the hall. This is the only way that we accept coinage. Often time, instead of even accepting coin for ice, we trade for items not generally available to us. Such as kalana, Turian wines, smuggled black wine, bazi tea, certain livestock or matierals and tools.

4. Trying to bribe, or get a Torvaldslander to do something with promise of coin, will not get you very far.  If you have items for trade, slaves, or anything of interest. That would be your best bet,
